An experimental ping pong multiplayer game
Summary
Icebreakers++ is an experimental 4v2 player multiplayer game. It is developed for the PingPongPlus -- a regular table tennis table with microphones attached underneath the table to detect the impact of table tennis balls. The game's screen is projected from a beamer attached to the ceiling.
Four players control their own penguin using a game controller, while two players stand on opposite ends trying to break the ice by playing table tennis. The penguin players need to drop off bombs near the castle in the center of the map in order to blow it up, while the two defenders try to prevent this. The defenders are able to either stun a penguin with a direct ping pong ball hit, drown them by cracking the ice or exploding them with a direct ping pong ball hit on a bomb. The game is over when all penguins are dead or the castles are destroyed.
