Ooki Bloks: Levels

Level Designer


Tile-bouncing, banana-collecting action


Summary
Ooki Bloks is a puzzle game where the player takes the role of a monkey collecting bananas. The objective of the game is to collect all bananas in a level in order to proceed to the next one. As part of my school's level design course, I made several levels with corresponding difficulties, adhering to a prespecified set of principles.

The easy levels are difficult for players to die, and force people to interact with unknown mechanics in order to complete the levels. If the players are skilled enough, they are able to complete the levels with a perfect chain. The hard levels require players to be more methodical, as the amount of mechanics have increased and the solution may not seem obvious as first.
